    Top Five Topics

    1. Democratic Parenting Basics: Parenting has changed dramatically over the past 50 years; learn why, and how you can use this knowledge to empower yourself as a parent today.
    2. Communicating With Our Kids About What Really Matters: Not all of us are born communicators.  Andrea shares practical strategies that you can use with your kids (and with everyone else in your life!) to help you understand and be understood.
    3. Why Kids Do What They Do: Learn what drives kids in their behaviour, understand the motivations behind what they do, and take home some practical strategies for handling perplexing child behaviour.
    4. Discipline Toolkit: Even after we decide we don’t want to yell at or nag our kids anymore, we may be stuck as to what we should actually do instead.  This topic is an opportunity to pick up 30+ tools for handling behaviour ranging from frustrating to strange to downright shocking.
    5. Self Esteem: Helping Our Kids Feel Good About Themselves: What exactly is self esteem anyway?  If we don’t know what it is, how do we know how to give it to our kids?  Or if they already have it?  We’ll work together to agree on a definition, then create a plan for fostering self esteem in our kids.
